This training will equip participants with knowledge and tools to serve as legal observers to verify and document ICE activity in the local community, to provide accompaniment support, and to help ensure that immigrants’ rights are protected. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about and join a network of volunteers coordinated by the Santa Clara County Rapid Response Network, who will be conducting this training.

The Santa Clara County Rapid Response Network is a County-funded community defense project developed to protect immigrant families and coordinates the 24/7 Rapid Response Hotline in Santa Clara County which provides emergency legal support to individuals who are detained and other assistance to their families.
