We look forward to supporting you during our regular business hours: Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and every other Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • NEW! Lobby Help Desk: Our new Lobby Help Desk provides one point of contact to assist community members coming into City Hall, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 5 p.m. The existing Virtual Lobby Help Desk will continue to support community needs during regular business hours. Let us know how we can help you.
  • Walk-In Lobby Services: Palo Alto residents and businesses can visit the City Hall Lobby for in-person customer service during regular business hours. 
  • Service by Phone: You can call (650) 329-2100 to be directed to a City department. See frequently requested services below to help you get started.

The Development Center is located across the street from City Hall at 285 Hamilton Ave. They are open for virtual and in-person appointment and limited walk-in service Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and virtual appointments only on Fridays. The Palo Alto Police Department can be reached at their non-emergency 24-hour dispatch center at (650) 329-2413 or by using the phone outside the front door of the Police Department (Forest Avenue side). For non-emergency crime reporting needs, community members can file an online report at www.paloalto.gov/OnlineReports.
