Zero Waste Facilitators

Zero waste facilitators are third-party organizations not affiliated with the City that offer paid services to help businesses and multi-family residences comply with the City’s ordinances and State laws including proper waste sorting, adequate waste stations and signage, and diverting compostables from the landfill.

Zero waste facilitators can assist both commercial and residential properties by:
  • Providing post-collection waste sorting to reduce contamination
  • Conducting zero waste assessments to improve collection efficiency and reduce waste
  • Conduct waste characterizations and provide environmental reporting
  • Providing education and feedback to tenants and staff to improve participation
