The City of Palo Alto Office of Emergency Services is providing Stop The Bleed training sessions for community members to be empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Take a free one-hour class to learn this important skill. Sign up for one session below.

Did you know: Uncontrolled bleeding is a major cause of preventative deaths. Approximately 40% of trauma-related deaths worldwide are due to bleeding or its consequences, establishing hemorrhage as the most common cause of preventable death in trauma.

The average time to bleed out is 3 to 5 minutes

Session 1: 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Session 2: Noon - 1 p.m.
