Why Heat Mapping Matters: A Conversation with Jeff Goodell
Join us in person at the Rinconada Library Embarcadero Room as Jeff Goodell, an award-winning journalist and author of The Heat Will Kill You First, joins us virtually to answer questions (from our moderator and audience) on the future of cities, the power grid, plants, and politics on an increasingly uninhabitable, scorched planet.
The discussion with Jeff Goodell is part of the Bay Area Heat Mapping Campaign, a volunteer supported effort to record temperatures in Palo Alto and neighboring communities on one of the hottest days of the year. This effort will help understand how our communities experience extreme heat and identify opportunities for cooling solutions in our most vulnerable neighborhoods.
Reservations are required to attend. Lunch from VeggieGrill will be provided starting at 11:30am.
