Adult Mosquito Treatment Planned on Thursday July 27

The County of Santa Clara Vector Control District has detected positive West Nile virus mosquitoes for parts of Palo Alto and Stanford (zip codes 94301, 94304, 94305 and 94306). To reduce the threat to our community, the County of Santa Clara Vector Control District will be reducing the population of mosquitoes with a localized mosquito control treatment using truck-mounted equipment. Treatment is scheduled to begin Thursday, July 27, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m. and will last for about four hours.

Per the County, there is no need to relocate during the treatment, but those who wish to minimize exposure for family members or pets may choose to close windows and remain inside during the scheduled time period.
