Caltrans’ El Camino Real Pavement Rehabilitation and ADA Improvements project staging and potholing begins Monday, August 19 at Sand Hill Road. Starting Tuesday, September 3, crews will begin working in one-mile segments on both sides of El Camino Real, and parking will no longer be allowed with enforcement by California Highway Patrol (CHP). At their August 12 meeting, the City Council approved permit parking reallocations and staff shared other mitigations planned to limit the loss of parking. In addition, the Council will consider expansion of the 2000 Geng Road Safe Parking Site on Monday, August 19. Proposed expansion is in response to the City Council request to expand safe parking at this site as well as to address vehicle displacement for the El Camino Real project.
