Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of Patriot Day

The flags outside Palo Alto City Hall, the Municipal Service Center, and all City buildings and fire stations will be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, September 11 in honor of Patriot Day and in remembrance of the lives lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. 

This year marks the 23-year anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed in suburban Pennsylvania. September 11 has been federally designated as Patriot Day and directs all flags be lowered to half-staff.
