Step 1.Understanding the Requirements

• Subscriber must be City of Palo Alto resident or business
• Voluntary monthly program that you can terminate at any time
• The monthly fee will be added to your City of Palo Alto Utility bill
• Residential participants: all household members who are permanent residents of the subscribing household will be covered. The program includes umbrella coverage for visitors who need emergency medical transport from a residence that is a program participant. The cost is $8 per month.
• Business Participants: Palo Alto FireMed covers all employees at the business address or those elsewhere within the City of Palo Alto during the course of their work duties. A business membership does not cover customers or other visitors to the business premises. Monthly fees range from $20-$1,000 per month based on employee head count.
