Get a Library Card

Step 1.Requirements

• Be a resident of California. Yes, this includes students who live on campus!

Step 2.Documents needed

• A photo ID.
• Proof of your current California address.

Step 3.Fill out the form for a temporary library card

Pre-register for a temporary library card

You will be given a library account with a temporary library card number. This account must be converted to a permanent card within 30 days or it will be deleted.

Step 4.Convert your temporary account to a permanent library card

Visit any of our 5 library locations to pick up your library card. You must provide verification of being a California resident while at the library. Be prepared to provide a photo ID and proof of your current California address when you arrive.
