Monthly Fuel Sales
The Palo Alto Airport transitioned fuel providers in January 2026. The new fuel provider is currently offering UL94 unleaded aviation fuel at the Airport. Airport staff are working closely with the fuel provider to share updated information with tenants regarding the availability and use of unleaded fuels.
The Airport will continue to work toward reducing the use of 100LL while ensuring that any transition to unleaded aviation fuels is implemented safely and in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

2025
The Palo Alto Airport is working to reduce the sale of leaded aviation fuel (100LL). An existing tank on the field was refurbished and put back into service for the use of a 94-octane unleaded fuel (94UL). The 94UL was available for sale at the airport starting in January 2024. In December of 2024, the fuel provider transitioned to a higher-octane unleaded fuel 100R that received FAA STC approval in November 2024.
The Airport is providing tenants of the field that are eligible to use the new fuel with relevant information on 100R and encouraging the purchase of the STC. Airport staff have received substantial feedback related to unleaded fuels including issues with aircraft using unleaded fuels at other airports and concerns about the lack of ASTM standards for these fuels.
The Airport continues to work on its transition away from 100LL in a safe manner in compliance with FAA regulations.
