The Palo Alto Community Survey is a feedback tool that helps the City Council and City staff understand community perspectives on current services and programs, as well as unmet needs and priorities. The survey was initially sent via mail on August 13 to a random sample population of resident households. On September 15, the survey opens citywide.
Neighbors Abroad and the City of Palo Alto invite you to Calenda, a Sister Cities celebration with Oaxaca, Mexico on Saturday, September 27 from 3-7 p.m.! Join the Palo Alto community on the pedestrian portion of California Avenue, between El Camino and Birch streets.
Calenda is a colorful, celebratory parade with music, dancing, artisan vendors, and more! Come out with your family and friends to celebrate with traditional dancers from Senderos, a musical performance from Mariachi Cardenal de Stanford, a mole preparation demonstration by Zaida’s Kitchen, artisan vendors, children’s events, and a presentation by the Palo Alto Fire Department to the Mayor of Oaxaca!
Before and after the parade, Cal Ave merchants and restaurants will be helping to elevate the festive mood, so plan to spend the afternoon and evening on the city’s pedestrian promenade!
