Public Safety Building Grand Opening

Join the City as it celebrates the grand opening of the Public Safety Building, the new home of the Police Department, 911 Emergency Dispatch Center, Office of Emergency Services and Emergency Operations Center, and Fire Department Administration. The celebration includes a speaker's program, ribbon cutting, information booths from various City departments, and public tours.

The new three-story building is built over an operational basement and below grade parking for staff. The new facility also boasts a public plaza, multi-purpose training room and meeting space, and secured operations yard with large public safety vehicle parking. The $123.5M Public Safety Building project is part of the 2014 Council Infrastructure Plan.

Walk, roll, or take public transit to the event and stay afterwards on Cal Ave. to eat, shop, and enjoy! Pastries and light refreshments will be available thanks to The Farm and Ada's Cafe.
