2026 May Fete Parade

Gather your friends and family and join us as we recognize and celebrate the folks in our community, who use their talents each day to improve our quality of life. Honor a hero or heroes in your community, is the theme this year! 

Walk in the parade along University Ave or watch it go by, then head over to Heritage Park for the fair.

Use your float making skills to possibly take-home some big prizes! Showcase your group, team, neighborhood, or extracurricular activity as you honor a community hero. Not part of a group or organization, but you still want to walk in the parade? Feel free to walk with City of Palo Alto's Friends, Family & Pets category. Just sign up with our check in table, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.

Deadline to submit your group's parade entry form is April 24. Don't delay, sign up today!

May Fete Fair at Heritage Park

Follow the Parade to the May Fete Fair at Heritage Park for more family fun for the community to celebrate.

• Booths featuring local community organizations
• Games and prizes for kids
• Food trucks

Become a Sponsor and promote your business with a Booth at the Fair. Non-profits can participate at no charge.

The May Fete Fair is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto. 

Additional Event Details

• Street closures in effect on Saturday morning: University Ave. from High to Waverley closed from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Homer from Bryant to Waverley for the Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• If you are planning on walking with the Palo Alto Friends, Family and Pets category, check in at registration desk on University Ave. and Emerson.
