Pet of Palo Alto Opening Reception

Arts professional Harriet Stern in collaboration with photographer Federica Armstrong held a series of community photo sessions across various outdoor locations in Palo Alto to photograph families with their pets. The project "Pets of Palo Alto", funded by the ArtLift Microgrant Program, concludes with an exhibition of the photographs at the Mitchell Park Community Center Basketball Court displayed during the month of October, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 1, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The ArtLift Microgrant Program is an ongoing special program launched in 2021 by the Palo Alto Public Art Program. It provides funding for temporary projects by local artists and creatives with the goal of helping the community find connection and joy through the arts and creative outlets while encouraging play, belonging, community participation, and promote shared experiences in and around Palo Alto
