Next date: Saturday, August 15, 2026 | 02:00 PM
to 04:00 PM
Join artist Charlotta Hauksdottir for a two-part weekend workshop dedicated to crafting three-dimensional sculptures from two-dimensional imagery.
Art enthusiasts, nature lovers, and curious makers will learn how to construct intricate leaf sculptures using photographic paper and wire. Alongside the creative process, Charlotta will share her climate-focused inspiration and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the techniques used to build her large-scale installation, What is Left Behind.
Part 1: Concept & Construction
Saturday, August 15 | 2–4 p.m.
Following a brief introduction to the artist’s studio process, participants will begin their sculptural experiments, learning how to manipulate wire and photographic paper to build their foundational leaf elements.
Part 2: Completion & Collective Installation
Sunday, August 16 | 2–4 p.m.
The second session focuses on refining and assembling your pieces. Participants will finish their sculptures to take home, with the option to contribute their creations directly to the growing What is Left Behind installation.
Ages 14 and up. All materials and light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited to ensure personalized guidance.
