The Palo Alto Public Art Program's second King Artist-in-Residence Kirti Bassendine is focusing on diverse underserved communities residing and/or working in Palo Alto and experiencing socio-economic or housing instability. The project goal is to spark conversations about inclusion, equity, and a sense of belonging, and will result in a final temporary artwork displayed on King Plaza. ArtistKirti Bassendine is now inviting the public to a series of free workshops, with the first one taking place Wednesday August 9 from 5pm-7pm in studio U7 at the Cubberley Community Center, at 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. All ages - Drop in - FREE At the workshop, you are invited to create an art piece to bring home. Please bring flat items such as keys, coins, feathers, flowers or leaves from home.
