The Palo Alto Community Survey is a feedback tool that helps the City Council and City staff understand community perspectives on current services and programs, as well as unmet needs and priorities. The survey was initially sent via mail on August 13 to a random sample population of resident households. On September 15, the survey opens citywide.
Join us at Mitchell Park Bowl as we celebrate the completion of the Charleston / Arastradero Corridor Project. City staff and community members will share short speeches about the importance of this project. After, take a 1-mile bike ride to Briones Park and check out the enhanced bike lanes, new landscaping, and improved pedestrian facilities along Charleston Road and Arastradero Road. At Briones Park, you can learn about other projects at the City and enjoy some ice cream.
All ages are encouraged to attend. Please bring your bike, helmet, and hydration.
Note: There is some uneven asphalt near Herbert Hoover Elementary School on Charleston Road due to utility work. As you bike on this segment of Charleston Road, be extra aware of the pavement condition and ride slowly.
The event will begin at the Mitchell Park Bowl (near the shuffleboard court and public restrooms). Attendees can ride their bike from Mitchell Park to Briones Park (609 Maybell Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94309) on Charleston Road and Arastradero Road.
