San Antonio Road Corridor Visioning Open House
Consistent with the City’s housing element, the San Antonio Corridor has been identified as an area for new housing development. The City is collaborating with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on a student-led effort to prepare a draft concept plan that accommodates approximately 1,200 new housing units, a population increase of approximately 3,000 residents, and related transportation improvements. This is a school project that benefits Palo Alto through initial plan ideation and community engagement and brings attention to an area of the City that will be the focus of further City-initiated planning efforts.
Save the date for an open house-style event to share input on aspects of a draft Cal Poly concept plan for the San Antonio Corridor. Based on comments from the recent visioning workshop, their own academic research, and familiarity with the project area, the students will showcase their proposed land use/transportation alternatives and policy proposals and will highlight additional details on their project to date.
Join Cal Poly City and Regional Planning students at the Cubberley Community Center, Room H-1, on Saturday, February 24 from 1-4 p.m.
All are welcome to join the community conversation. Feel free to drop by at any time, see the work underway, and share your feedback to inform the next steps.
