Police AB 481 Community Meeting for 2023

Join the Palo Alto Police Department for the annual community update on Assembly Bill 481, a law which governs a police agency’s possession and use of certain types of equipment and requires the City Council to provide both authorization and oversight of its use.

Learn about the types of qualifying equipment already authorized by City Council to be in the Department's possession and how that equipment was used during the past year.  The Department will not be seeking to acquire any new types of qualifying equipment in the coming year.  Provide feedback, ask questions, and learn more.
