Help map extreme heat in our community! The City is partnering with Palo Alto Student Climate Coalition (PASCC) on the Bay Area Heat Mapping Campaign, a volunteer supported effort to record temperatures in Palo Alto and neighboring communities on one of the hottest days of the year. This effort will help understand how our communities experience extreme heat and identify opportunities for cooling solutions in our most vulnerable neighborhoods.

Join the volunteer training on Thursday, July 18th led by PASCC to learn the tools and strategies you will need to sucessfully map temperatures on the day of the campaign.

The heat mapping campaign will take place on either Saturday August 24 OR Saturday, September 7, depending on weather conditions.

Sign up now or learn more about the campaign.

Volunteer sign ups are required to attend the training.

If you are unable to join in person, you may attend via Zoom (Meeting ID: 861 8775 4900, Passcode: 681401).
