Coastal Cleanup Day 2026

Join us for Coastal Cleanup Day! Pollution prevention starts at our front doors. Trash from around our neighborhoods can travel through storm drains and creeks to become pollution in the San Francisco Bay. Help keep our creeks clean by volunteering for a creek cleanup event. The City of Palo Alto will provide trash grabbers, bags, gloves, snacks, and water for volunteers.

When

Location

In Palo Alto, there are two cleanup locations, Matadero and San Francisquito Creeks.

For Matadero Creek location:
Meet at Renzel Trail and Adobe Creek Loop Trailhead at 2837 East Bayshore Road. Parking is available along East Bayshore Road.

For San Francisquito Creek location:
Meet at Baylands Athletic Center Parking Lot (1900 Geng Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303).
