Document Shredding Events

A free Document Shredding Event for Palo Alto residents only is being hosted by the City to help you safely recycle confidential paperwork.

Please bring proof of residency (ID, Driver’s License, or Utility Bill) to attend. Each vehicle is allowed a maximum of 3 banker-size boxes (12”x10”x15”) or 3 brown paper bags of equivalent size of confidential paper documents that are free of metal products for shredding.

Please visit www.paloalto.gov/shred to review our requirements before attending the event. Zero Waste Palo Alto encourages residents to file confidential and personal paperwork electronically to prevent paper waste.
