Want to make a difference in Palo Alto? Recruitment for the Human Relations Commission has opened for one vacant seat!
The Human Relations Commission’s duty is to promote the just and fair treatment of all people in Palo Alto, particularly our most vulnerable populations. By promoting awareness of issues and enabling conversations that enhance inclusion, the HRC strives to create a community where civility, respect and responsible actions are the norm. The HRC discusses issues and concerns within the community such as topics associated with race & equity, social & economic justice, employment, education, ownership & rental of housing, and governmental services and benefits. Commission members volunteer their time and expertise to review items and make recommendations to the City Council.
