2/22 Council Meeting Weekly Roll-up

To keep you connected and up to date on notable Council meeting discussions, we are sharing a brief weekly update. At the City Council meeting on February 22 2021:
Staff provided an update on the 2021 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (S/CAP) Development and Engagement. For more information on that update, you can view the presentation here. Residential Preferential Parking Program use of Automatic License Plate Recognition technology was approved, you can find that presentation here. Foothills Park name will changed to Foothills Nature Preserve on April 8 and an annual vehicle entrance fee was added. A daily $6 vehicle fee will go into effect on Saturday, February 27th for weekends and holidays. The annual pass ($65 for non-residents, $50 for residents/staff) will also be available for purchase this weekend. Weekday fees will be implemented in the late spring. Park capacity is set at 350-650 people, with certain groups exempt. Fees are waived for veterans, low-income visitors, student drivers, and persons with disabilities.
