As students across Palo Alto return to school, streets and sidewalks around local campuses will become busier. Whether you are walking, biking, driving or taking transit, planning can help everyone begin the new school year safely.
Before school starts, take time to review your route, check for construction that could affect your trip and become familiar with current bicycle and e-bike safety rules. Families with students attending Palo Alto Unified School District schools should also review PAUSD’s new campus e-bike regulations for the 2026–27 school year.
