Highway 101 Bike Bridge Project in its Final Stage of Construction

The Highway 101 Bike Bridge project is in its final stage of construction. The contractor is planning to install railing components including frames, fencing, and rail lights on the bridge trusses over Highway 101, East Bayshore Road and West Bayshore Road starting this Sunday, October 10. Partial lane closures are planned on Highway 101 in northbound and southbound directions to complete the portion of the work over the freeway from October 10 - October 15, between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., each night. Railing installation over East and West Bayshore Roads will also occur during this time and one-lane two-way traffic with flaggers will be maintained. Minor noise is expected from this operation.
