The National Weather Service is forecasting Moderate HeatRisk across the Bay Area and Central Coast today through Wednesday. In Palo Alto, hot daytime temperatures could reach between 88 and 92 degrees and higher elevations can expect warm and dry conditions overnight. Winds are not expected to be a major factor, except for the usual afternoon sea breeze, with conditions possibly shifting on Thursday, noting a slight chance for thunderstorms and gusty winds.

Hot weather increases the risk of heat-related health complications such as heat stroke, heat exhaustion, dehydration, hyperthermia, and heat cramps. Rinconada Pool is available to the community with the lap pool open Monday – Friday from noon - 4:15 p.m., Saturday from noon - 5 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Play pool is open Monday – Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Mitchell Park has its own water park feature for kids to have fun and stay cool.
