Matadero Creek Access Restricted

An unknown substance in Matadero Creek near the Palo Alto VA Medical Center located at 3801 Miranda was reported this afternoon. Palo Alto Fire Department responded and Palo Alto VA is following spill response protocols. A boom is set in the creek to contain the substance.

Please avoid the area, and limit creek access at this time. Follow posted signage requirements for community safety while an investigation and sampling is underway.
