Palo Alto Council Selects 2026 Mayor and Vice Mayor

During their reorganization meeting, the Palo Alto City Council selected former Vice Mayor Vicki Veenker as Mayor and Council Member Greer Stone as Vice Mayor for the coming calendar year. The City Council also recognized outgoing Mayor Ed Lauing for his service to the Palo Alto community. 

The City Council will hold their first business meeting on January 12, 2026 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, Council Chambers, including reviewing progress made on advancing their 2025 Annual Priorities. The public is encouraged to participate in Council discussions on topics of community interest at City Council meetings in-person or virtually.
