Palo Alto Summit on Women & Girls: June 12

The City of Palo Alto will be hosting a local Summit on Women & Girls* on Saturday, June 12, 9:30 a.m. – 12 noon via Zoom. The theme is Equity and Inclusion for Women and Girls – COVID and Beyond. The Summit will serve as a starting point to inform, mobilize, and energize the city and community towards greater opportunity and equity for women and girls in keeping with the City’s commitment to race and equity.
The keynote speaker will be Lori Nishiura Mackenzie, Co-Founder - Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab and Lead Strategist - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - Stanford Graduate School of Business. She will speak on Intersectionality and the Impact of COVID on Women.
A key feature of the Summit will be a series of Breakout Sessions on topics important to local woman and girls; you will be able to attend two Breakout Sessions. Each will feature a panel presentation followed by Q & A and an interactive conversation. There will be adult and youth panel members. This event is geared towards women and girls high school age and up. The Summit will be engaging and interactive, with an optional opportunity for networking at the end from 12 – 12:30 p.m.
