Rainy season is around the corner. With Hurricane Hilary top of mind, now is the time to get prepared.
Due to significant effort on flood awareness and floodplain management by the City, Palo Alto residents are eligible for a discount on flood insurance premiums through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Flood Insurance program. City staff continue to work on several priorities in anticipation of a moderate to strong rainy season this winter including the San Francisquito Creek inspection, which is scheduled for the end of August with the San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority (SFCJPA) partner agencies.
