The Palo Alto Community Survey is a feedback tool that helps the City Council and City staff understand community perspectives on current services and programs, as well as unmet needs and priorities. The survey was initially sent via mail on August 13 to a random sample population of resident households. On September 15, the survey opens citywide.

The flags outside Palo Alto City Hall, the Municipal Service Center, and all City buildings and fire stations are being flown at half-staff by order of President Trump. A proclamation issued today orders that flags of the United States shall be flown at half-staff immediately, today, September 10, 2025 through September 14, 2025 to respect the memory of Charlie Kirk.
