The flag outside Palo Alto City Hall, the Municipal Service Center, and all City buildings and fire stations are being flown at half-staff in commemoration of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 that crashed in suburban Pennsylvania.
In addition, a moment of silence will be held at tonight's City Council meeting, and City Hall will be lit in red, white, and blue.
