Storm Updates including Traffic Advisories

There are still many days of rain and extreme cold weather ahead with the potential for small hail and frost. Below are some current road conditions. For the current weather forecasts from the National Weather Service, go here.

Update February 27, 5 p.m.:

• Upper portion of Page Mill Road
  Page Mill Road has re-opened in the Palo Alto foothills. Please use caution as weather and roadway conditions can change quickly.

• El Camino Real underpass at University Avenue
  The underpass is now dry; two lanes are now open in each direction.

Update February 27, 1 p.m.:

• El Camino Real is closed in both directions due to flooding at the University Avenue underpass.
• Page Mill Road is currently closed between between Moody Road and Skyline Boulevard due to snow on the roadway.

Update February 27, 11 a.m.: 

• Due to flooding, two lanes in each of direction of El Camino Real at the University Avenue undercrossing are currently closed. Please take alternate routes to avoid delays.

Update February 25, 3 p.m.:

• Page Mill Road has reopened. Per the National Weather Service, extremely cold weather and rain will persist through Tuesday. Periodic closures on Page Mill Road are likely as a result. 
• Partial lane closures continue on El Camino Real at University Avenue under crossing due to flooding issues. 

Update February 24, 7 p.m.:

•  The Page Mill Road closure will remain in effect overnight, as crews are still working to clear the roadway and make it safe to travel.
•  Partial lane closures will continue on El Camino Real at the University Avenue under crossing.

Update February 24, 8 a.m.: The Palo Alto Police Department advised that Page Mill Road is currently closed due to snow and down trees between Foothills Nature Preserve Gates 2 (just west of Moody Road) and 4 (further west). Updates will be provided here as staff is able to clear the road and determine its safety for driving. Due to flooding, two lanes in each of direction of El Camino Real at the University Avenue undercrossing are currently closed. Please take alternate routes to avoid delays.
