Acknowledging that this is a painful time for our community, we encourage everyone to come together and share resources to support community wellness. Project Safety Net issued a letter to the community following last week's tragedy offering ways to support one another during these challenging times. The following resources are available to support you, youth, and community members experiencing loss and grief.
Upcoming Local Sessions & Events
allcove Palo Alto (2741 Middlefield Rd, Suite 102, Palo Alto) provides mental health, physical health, and other services for youth ages 12-25. The center is providing grief support and processing spaces both virtually and in-person over the next two weeks.

Kara (457 Kingsley Ave, Palo Alto) provides comprehensive grief support, crisis intervention and education to individuals and communities facing the difficult realities of death and loss.
- Supporting Children and Teens Training for Caregivers (Virtual): March 13, 2025, 12-1 p.m.
This webinar will provide an overview of the fundamentals of grief and focus on identifying and supporting grief in children and teens after a death. Register here.
Support & Programs for Mental Health
Teens
- allcove provides non-urgent mental health support for young people aged 12 to 25. Open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m-7 p.m.
- Palo Alto Link offers free rides for teens (13-18 years old) to specific Palo Alto destinations supporting teen mental health and wellbeing.
- The Children's Health Council is a local organization offering Teen Therapy Services, including a free 30-minute consultation for teens and family counseling services.
- Project Safety Net mobilizes community support and resources in Palo Alto for youth suicide prevention and mental wellness.
- Trevor Project Lifeline specializes in crisis help for LGBTQIA+ youth.
