City Manager Ed Shikada continues to share brief updates at each Council meeting, and his comments are summarized through our Palo Alto Connect blog series to catch up on City issues and gain the latest news.

A City finance update shares recent budget changes and mid-year Council actions restoring certain service priorities and answers community questions. This weekend gather your kids and teens for a sustainability fair as part of the Library’s ”Palo Alto Reads”. Join the Palo Alto Youth Council on Sunday for a Mental Health Community Fair. Learn about the City’s affordable housing commitment, rental housing resources, gain a status of the City’s draft Housing Element and track housing projects and priorities through a new consolidated web portal about the City’s housing policies, programs, and projects. Track Council actions taken on April 10 such as approval of additional 2023 priority objectives to advance the Council priorities and approval of workplans for the Policy & Services and Finance Council Committees, and direction to the Rail Committee and Council Appointed Officer (CAO) Committee to create workplans for the year ahead.
