The National Weather Service (NWS) issued an updated forecast with a Wind Advisory in effect noting possible wind gusts reaching up to 45 mph from tonight into Friday evening and gusts above 65 mph in higher elevations. Rain is expected to continue through the weekend and into next week, with little to no chance of flood risk in Palo Alto. Temperatures in Palo Alto should be relatively mild per NWS forecasts. Community impacts from this storm could include ponding of water in local roadways, and wind impacts such as debris in roadways and power outages. The City will continue to monitor conditions and will share updates via www.paloalto.gov/stormupdate. Please drive safely and report any impacts to the City at www.paloalto.gov/311.
