Man Reports Being Robbed of Cash and Property by Five Suspects

Published on November 17, 2021

Palo Alto, CA A man reported that five suspects armed with knives robbed him of cash and property.  The victim was not injured, and the suspects are at large.

On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at about 0059 hours, an officer on routine patrol in the 3800 block of Fabian Way was flagged down by a victim in his vehicle reporting he had just been robbed about ten minutes earlier.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a man in his twenties, reported he had been laying down in his recreational vehicle that he had parked in the 3800 block of Fabian Way when there was a knock at his door.  He opened the door to see five strangers (four men and one woman) standing outside.  The victim said one of the men immediately rushed inside, pushed him down, and held a knife to his throat.  A second male suspect also entered the RV.  The victim said the two men stole cash, clothing, both of the victim’s phones, and a generator.  All five suspects then entered a dark-colored sport utility vehicle and drove away eastbound on Fabian Way with its headlights off.  Once he was certain the suspects were gone, the victim got into his car and went to drive to a police station to report the robbery; that is when he happened to see the patrol officer.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.  He described the suspects as wearing all black with face masks.  The two suspects who entered the RV were Hispanic male adults.  The victim said all five suspects were armed with folding knives with three-inch blades.  The victim could not provide any additional details on the suspects or their vehicle.
