Newell Road Bridge Replacement Project Status- April 2025

Caltrans review: Right-of-Way Certification was completed and approved by Caltrans on October 11, 2024. The Authorization to Proceed for construction phase with Advance Construction was approved on April 14, 2025, and the project was then advertised for bidding the next day with the intent to award a construction contract prior to Council’s summer break.

Tree removal and PG&E work In March, PG&E returned and is completing the power pole and conduit installation that started in June 2024. PG&E is expected to take several weeks to complete their work, and additional work by Comcast and AT&T will follow.
