Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers Prohibited in Residential Neighborhoods

The City is reminding the public to go with an electric or battery-powered blower, or grab a rake or broom, for landscaping and garden clean ups in our residential areas. Gas-powered leaf blowers not only pollute our air but make a lot of noise that disturb our neighborhoods.

Regional SFO Airport Coordination/Airplane Noise

Palo Alto is impacted by three arrival routes into San Francisco International Airport (SFO). These routes have had an ongoing negative health impact on our community. The City is committed to working with our residents, Congress, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), SFO, and other stakeholders to find solutions.
