My paintings capture moments of emotional energy. My challenge is the creation of competing energies as depicted forms battling in two dimensions. Painting forces of light to contain the dark into negative space - and transforming the darks and lights into tangible material - and firing the forces back out as contrasting spirits - is victory in paint.
