Fred Eyerly Tower Well Park Dedication Celebration & Fire Station 1 Open House

Celebrate the parkland dedication and naming of the site to Fred Eyerly Tower Well Park.

The water tower was the first major visible infrastructure of the City's utilities and is a symbol of the City's successful beginnings and forward-thinking leaders. The Tower Well Park, a small urban park was dedicated as parkland on March 4, 2024 by the City Council, and renamed to the Fred Eyerly Tower Well Park following additional community input.

Tower Well Park sits on 0.19 acres of land located at 201 Alma Street at the corner of Alma St. and Hawthorne Ave. The park features include decomposed granite path, native plants, two park benches, antique water pump display, water tower and six interpretive signs. The water tower at this park was constructed in 1910 and is 79 feet tall.

Join us on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 4 p.m. for a park dedication and celebration at 201 Alma St. with refreshments and an open house to follow at Palo Alto Fire Station 1 located at 301 Alma (one block from the park).
