Figure Drawing Workshop: Drawing with Time with artist Sang-ah Choi

Join CASP artist Sang-ah Choi for "5,4,3,2,1 – Drawing with Time"

In this one-hour workshop, participants will practice figure drawing with pencils in timed cycles of 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 minutes. The session begins with a short demonstration on pencil line, focusing on variations in pressure and speed. Participants then take turns modeling, observing one another, and drawing together in rhythm with the time sequence.

The workshop starts slowly to allow everyone to settle in, then gradually becomes faster and freer, encouraging lively movement of lines. Through three full cycles, participants will create 15–20 drawings. The focus is not on accuracy, but on drawing freely and spending time together.

This workshop is open to adults of all levels; no prior drawing experience is required.
