Say hello to September with a month full of ways to connect, explore, and have fun in Palo Alto. From community gatherings to recreation, learning, and seasonal celebrations, there’s something for everyone.
Palo Alto community members are invited to meet Bay Area artist Stephen Galloway who was commissioned to create a site-specific permanent artwork for the new Fire Station 4, and share their input about neighborhood as the artist begins his design development process.
Fire Station No. 4, located at 3600 Middlefield Road, is undergoing a Capital Improvement Project that has funds earmarked for public art in accordance with the Municipal Percent for Art Policy and Municipal Code 2.26.070. In 2022, the Public Art Commission approved funds for the public art project and San Francisco-based artist Stephen Galloway was selected for the commission.
