Overnight Warming Location Open House

Overnight Warming Center Open House.jpg

This cold weather season, the City will be hosting an Overnight Warming Location (OWL) at the Downtown Library in the El Camino Room. OWL’s are a life saving measure that give unhoused individuals a warm, safe and dry place to be during officially identified inclement weather episodes, it is not an ongoing program.

Want to learn more? There will be an Open House for the OWL on Wednesday, December 4, 6:30 – 8pm. You are invited to see the library set up as an OWL and meet City and partner organizations who are overseeing the program.

For more information, view this presentation that was made to the Human Relations Commission.
