Professor Simon Williams, emeritus professor in the Department of Theater and Dance at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an active director of both opera and spoken drama, will give the preview talk.

November 4: The Monkey King Preview

Join us for a preview of the San Francisco Opera's upcoming performance of The Monkey King by Huang Ruo and David Henry Hwang. Dr. Yining Lin, a dramaturg, specializes in AAPI and traditional Chinese theatre and will give the preview talk of this opera based on the Chinese classic novel, Journey to the West.
