GOODNIGHT MOON | Book, Music, and Lyrics by Chad Henry | Adapted from Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd

Margaret Wise Brown’s classic story Goodnight Moon has been loved and passed down through the generations for more than 75 years. The bunny in the blue and white pajamas wants to delay going to bed for as long as possible, so they say goodnight to every object in their room – and beyond. In this delightful musical adaptation by Chad Henry, the bunny’s bedroom comes to life on the stage, along with all of the objects that fill the familiar pages of the story, including the cat and the fiddle, the red balloon, clocks and socks, kittens and mittens, and the cow jumping over the moon! Bedtime has never been so entertaining!

Dates: January 27 - February 20, 2026 | Performances: Tuesday - Fridays at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. | Running Time: Approximately 1 hour | Target Grades: PK - Grade 3

You can now book a Children's Theatre staff educator to come to your classroom to lead an 8-session class of The Joy of Singing! Designed for grades K-2, this class is filled with singing, musical games, and loads of fun, as we celebrate the joy of singing at a young age! For grades 3-5, we offer an advanced version of this class—The Joy of Musical Theatre In this class, we still play games and have lots of fun, but we also study four songs from one musical theatre classic, giving students a little taste of what it is like to rehearse and perform a musical. Both sessions include the opportunity for an informal in-class performance during the final class, when teachers may choose to invite parents or peer classrooms. Both sessions also include colorful spiral-bound workbooks that each participant can keep!
