Una Battaglia per i Partigiani

Arnaldo Pomodoro, one of Italy's leading sculptors, was trained as an architect and, as a young artist, designed jewelry. In sculpture, Pomodoro's work focused on three themes: the free-standing column, the disc, and the sphere and cube together. This etching is a study for Pomodoro's monumental sculpture "Una Battaglia", created in two castings that can be found in Modena, Italy and New Orleans.
