Arthur Everett Nelson (1942–1992) was a prominent Oakland-based ceramics artist and educator. A native of Colorado, Nelson earned his MFA at the California College of Arts and Crafts. Nelson’s work, both technically refined and conceptually rich, can be found in the collections of SFMOMA, the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA), CCA, and the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC).
